DescriptionCropLife focuses on leaf lifespan as major a determinant of plant productivity and aims to gain a greater understanding of the basic mechanism and genetic control of senescence and to develop new breeding strategies for prolonging leaf photosynthesis and delaying senescence processes. The network focuses on barley as a mojar temperate grain crop and perennial ryegrass as a biomass and forage crop. CropLife provides intersectorial experience by integrating partners from the public and private sectors in six European countries. The training programme includes state-of-the-art local training activities and network-wide courses, summer schools, workshops as well as courses on complementary skills. The ESRs will benefit from high quality training, secondments in partner laboratories and intersectorial visits. We are looking for enthusiastic and self-motivated people, who will fully engage in the team spirit of a dynamic interdisciplinary research group. Projects and CropLife Partners:
EligibilityOutstanding ESR candidates must hold a Master/Diploma degree. ERs must either be in possession of a doctoral degree in an appropriate subject, irrespective of the time taken to acquire it, or have at least four years of full-time equivalent research experience. In addition, ERs must also have less than five years of full-time equivalent research experience. Applicants must be eligible to be appointed as an Early Stage Researcher or an Experience Researcher under the European Commission Framework 7 Early Stage Research Training Scheme. You are either an EU citizen or from outside the EU (subject to relevant immigration formalities), who has spent less than 12 months in the host country in the last three years (e.g. to be eligible for these positions, applicants must have spent less than 12 months in the host country over the last 3 years) at the time of selection. Equal consideration will be given to female or male applicants. We particularly encourage candidates from underrepresented minorities to apply.
